DT Hubs Support 550,000lb Heavy-Haul

Worldwide Equipment recently had the opportunity to work with Barnhart Crane and Rigging, a heavy transportation company operating across the country. Barnhart needed to a truck capable of moving a series of 550,000 pound heat recovery system generators (HRSG) to the John Sevier Fossil Plant near Rogersville, Tennessee. Duane McDaniel of the Abingdon Division worked with Tim Fielder, heavy transportation manager for Barnhart, to customize a truck with a DT Shiftable Planetary Drive System. The shiftable system allows the trucks to haul excessively large loads to their destination, then operate in convention drive to expediently return to the starting point. This advantage was especially important to Fielder for this project because Barnhart will haul 36 separate loads 70 miles to the plant.

Worldwide Equipment, Inc. Donates to Highlands Foundation Campaign

Worldwide Equipment, Inc. President Terry Dotson and General Manager Randy Polk recently presented a check for $50,000 to the Highlands Foundation Hope for Life Campaign. This gift will help fund a state-of-the-art expansion of the Emergency Department at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

Terry Dotson, President & CEO of Worldwide Equipment, stated, “Highlands Regional is very important to the well-being of our community and we are proud to play an important role in this much needed expansion. Improvement happens when concerned people and organizations are willing to help bring needed change”.
